1. About this policy

Laveeka (ABN pending registration) (“Laveeka”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website at laveeka.com (the “Website”) or otherwise interact with us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Website, how we collect it, why we collect it, how we use, store and disclose it, and how you can access, correct, or complain about the handling of your personal information.

This Privacy Policy is intended to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), which set out the standards, rights and obligations for the handling of personal information in Australia. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the APPs, regardless of whether Laveeka is, at any given time, entitled to rely on the small business exemption under that Act.

This policy applies only to the Website. It does not apply to personal information Laveeka may collect or handle in the course of delivering consulting, technology or recruitment transformation services to a client, which is instead governed by the terms of the applicable client engagement.

2. Who we are

Laveeka is a technology-led business and recruitment transformation consultancy based in Sydney, Australia.

Entity: Laveeka [legal entity name and ABN to be inserted on registration]
Contact: hello@laveeka.com

3. What personal information we collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Through the Website, we may collect:

  • identity and contact information you provide when you submit an enquiry, such as your name, work email address, company name, job title and phone number;
  • the content of any message or enquiry you choose to send us, including anything you tell us about your business, role, or the reason for your enquiry;
  • correspondence you send us directly by email (for example, to hello@laveeka.com), including your email address and the content of that correspondence; and
  • limited technical information automatically generated as part of standard web server operation (for example, general access logs kept by our hosting provider), which may include IP address, browser type and pages visited.

We do not use cookies, analytics services, or advertising trackers on the Website (see section 9), and we do not currently use technical log information to identify individuals.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act, such as health information, racial or ethnic origin or criminal record information) through the Website, and we ask that you do not include sensitive information in any enquiry you send us.

4. How we collect personal information

We collect personal information directly from you when you:

  • complete and submit the enquiry form on the Website (fields marked as required must be completed to submit the form; optional fields, such as job title and phone number, are entirely at your discretion); or
  • email us directly using an email address published on the Website.

We do not collect personal information about you from third parties for the purposes covered by this policy, except where you provide it to us as part of your enquiry (for example, if your enquiry references or is made on behalf of another person).

5. Why we collect, use and disclose personal information

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to:

  • respond to and manage your enquiry, including to contact you, answer your questions, and arrange or conduct an initial discussion about our services;
  • consider whether and how we might provide services to your organisation;
  • maintain records of our business communications;
  • comply with our legal and regulatory obligations; and
  • any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection, or to which you have consented.

We do not use personal information collected through the Website to make decisions solely or substantially by automated means that could reasonably be expected to significantly affect your rights or interests. If this changes, we will update this policy in advance, consistent with the automated decision-making transparency obligations that apply under the Privacy Act from 10 December 2026.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties.

6. Direct marketing

We will only send you direct marketing communications (such as updates about Laveeka) if you have consented to receive them, or in other circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act. Where we do send direct marketing, we will provide a simple way to opt out, and will action any opt-out request promptly.

7. Who we disclose personal information to

We may disclose personal information to:

  • our personnel, on a need-to-know basis, to respond to your enquiry;
  • Formspree, Inc., a third-party service we use to receive and process enquiry form submissions and route them to us by email (see section 8, overseas disclosure);
  • our professional advisers (such as lawyers or accountants), where reasonably necessary;
  • a regulator, law enforcement agency or court, where required or authorised by law; and
  • a prospective buyer or their advisers, in the event of a genuine business sale, merger or restructure, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not otherwise disclose personal information collected through the Website to third parties without your consent, unless required or authorised by law.

8. Overseas disclosure

The Website’s enquiry form is processed using Formspree, a service operated by Formspree, Inc., which stores and processes data on infrastructure located in the United States. This means personal information you submit through the enquiry form may be disclosed to, and held on servers located in, the United States.

Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure that recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to that information, including by using providers that maintain their own security and privacy commitments. In some circumstances, however, an overseas recipient may not be subject to privacy obligations equivalent to those imposed under Australian law, and it may be difficult for us to take further action if that occurs.

By submitting personal information through the enquiry form, you acknowledge and consent to this overseas disclosure. You can avoid it by contacting us directly by email instead (hello@laveeka.com), noting that standard email routing may still involve infrastructure located outside Australia depending on your and our email providers.

9. Cookies and tracking technologies

As at the date of this policy, the Website does not use cookies, web beacons, analytics services (such as Google Analytics) or third-party advertising trackers. If this changes, we will update this policy to describe what is used, why, and how you can manage your preferences, before any such technology is deployed.

10. Data quality and security

We take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, up to date and complete. You can help by keeping us informed if your details change.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including through the use of reputable third-party service providers and by limiting access to personnel who need it. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information collected through the Website only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

11. Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and request that we correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 13. We will respond within a reasonable period (and in any event within 30 days), and will not charge you for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for giving access, if applicable. In some circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act, we may need to refuse a request for access or correction, in which case we will explain why.

12. Data breaches

If we become aware of a data breach involving personal information that is likely to result in serious harm, we will comply with our obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Part IIIC of the Privacy Act, including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required.

13. How to contact us or make a complaint

If you have a question about this policy, wish to access or correct your personal information, or wish to make a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first:

Email: hello@laveeka.com

We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, or do not receive a response within a reasonable time, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

Phone: 1300 363 992

14. Children’s privacy

The Website is directed at businesses and business professionals. It is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law, including forthcoming changes to the Privacy Act, such as the automated decision-making transparency requirements commencing 10 December 2026. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
